Despite the amount of shawl collar cardigans that have been put out by menswear companies recently, I believe few are as clean and crisp as these new Brooks Brothers numbers. With the big Native American and Nordic reindeer prints, the originals can sometimes be forgotten among those really unique stand out pieces. However, as the warm weather slowly creeps up on us and the thick wool again recedes into the back of the closet, these are the perfect options to throw on over an OCBD or polo shirt.
Brooks Brothers Three-Pocket Cardigan
I really enjoy the casual St. James style of the striped shawl and the patch pockets with actual wood buttons on the pocket cardigan (also, epaulets!). It isn't new, but it isn't supposed to be; it's just supposed to look good, and that's where simple classic cardigans like these succeed.
